On a cold winter day, a couple of kids were having a snowball fight. Two men came and saw them having fun, which made one of them say,
” Ah. memories of childhood!”
They both laughed. Just then, a snowball flew through the air and landed on a rich, snobby kid’s face. He started crying, which caused one of the family’s servants to come outside with his dog.
” What happened here?!” he demanded.
” They hit me!” the boy said to the servant.
” You hit us several times! It’s supposed to be a fair game!” another kid said.
All the kids nodded in agreement.
” You little suckers! How dare you hit our young master! Watch how I punish you!” the servant said as he made a snowball and threw it at the kids, but he missed, and he ended up losing the snowball fight.
The two bystanders watched in horror.
” Go get them!” the servant ordered his dog.
The dog bared his teeth and claws, and pounced at them. The kids all ran in different directions, but a poor kid was too slow, and got caught by the dog.
The dog jumped on him and bit his leg.
One of the bystanders ran to them and kicked the dog away. The kid’s leg started bleeding nonstop.
Everybody came to see if he was okay, while the rich kid laughed.
” Young master.. let’s go!” the servant said.
” Stop right there!!” the bystander said.
” Who are you?! Don’t go bugging into people’s business!” the servant yelled.
” You release your dog to bite people! How could I not care?! And I have to care!”
” Zi Lu! Calm down!” the other bystander said. ” The kids are just playing, and they all got hit. Just because you accidentally got hit, you shoudn’t release your dog to bite people!”
” Excuse me! We’re outside the Shen family’s property! Our young master is crying, and they all got together and hit me! It’s more like t to let the dog bite them all!” the servant shouted.
” If you get hit, you can’t blame others! What kind of spoiled person would your young master be if you kept teaching him like this!?” the bystander said.
” Hmph! Well I don’t care! But NOBODY can touch our young master!”
” Look at that child, he got bitten, and the blood isn’t stopping! So you don’t even pity him? What if your child got bitten?! Hmm??”
” heheheh. I don’t even have a wife yet! What now, are you going to tell me I have one?”
” You heartless person! I’m going to teach you a lesson or two!” the other bystander yelled, while getting held back by the other.
” You release your dog to bite a child, but you don’t think about the difficulties they have? That family is poor, and doesn’t have money for medicine! You don’t care for people, aren’t you scared that you would get karma?!” the calm one asked the servant.
” Hmph! I’m the Shen family’s servant, so I have to stand up for them! My young master loses a hair, I’ll let that poor kid lose blood that would fill half a bowl!I’m gonna see who has the guts to harm our young master! I’ll let them crawl away!!” the servant yelled.
Then, another servant came out, along with the snobby kid’s father.
” Daddy!!” the kid yelled, still crying.
” What happened here?!” he demanded.
” Master! This group of kids hurt our young master!!” the servant said.
” Huh? Come here son.” he said. ” It’s nothing! Your fine! let’s go inside now. Everybody! Go home!” he waved to the kids like he was shooing a fly.
” Stop right there!” the bystander said. ” Your dog bit a kid, and you’re staying to listen to what happened!!”
” We were just having a snowball fight, and a snowball hit your son’s face, and he just cried and cried!” a kid said.
” The servant released his dog to bite us, and Xiao Wen’s leg got bitten!” another said.
” Is this true?” the father asked his servant.
” Yes, master.” he said, guilty.
” Hmph! These kids weren’t supposed to be here in the first place! ”
” Your servant released your dog to bite people, and you’re not caring?! Everyone respects you! Even though you didn’t release the dog, it’s your servant! you have to do something about it! this is so going to ruin your reputation! How can you face your ancestors?!”
” Hmmmm..” he mumbled. ” You foolish servant! The kids were having fun, and you released the dog?! How could you do something so evil?! Get him back to his house now!”
” No no no no I won’t do it again! It’s my fault! My fault! Forgive me master!” the servant stammered. He ran over to the boy who got bit, said sorry, and the young master came to the boy.
” I’m sorry. Are you okay?” he said in a small voice.
” I don’t have any money in my home to buy medicine.” the boy said.
” Go inside to fetch some medicine for the boy! And fetch some candy!” the master ordered one of his servants.
The two bystanders went up to him.
” You two were right. Please accept my apology and thanks. This servant released a dog today, so who knows what he’s going to do tomorrow?? *sigghh* I’ve got to teach my servants how to be kind to others! Please keep teaching me things.”
” Here you go. I’ll rub this blood off a little. Everybody, want some candy? Candy?” another servant said.
“Let’s take the kid home.” one of the bystanders said to his friend. They both started laughing.
” Thank you, once again!” the man said.
As the two men brought the injured kid home, the kids continued the snowball fight, fair and square.
