The Snail and Orioles
“On the grape tree, there crawled a snail,
when the grapes weren’t even ripe yet.
On a branch of the grape tree, were two
orioles. They laughed at the snail.
” The grapes aren’t even ripe yet!
Why are you climbing so early?”
The Orioles would ask.
” Don’t laugh my friends, “he would say.
” Once I get to the top, then they will be.”
he said.
