It was an extremely windy day. Near a withered tree, there was a small hut and there lived two brothers.
” Brother,” said the eldest. ” This wind is strange. There’s something not right about this.”
” Really? Is there something going on here? You really think that?”
” I don’t know.”
“Oh well, don’t think about this anymore. Here, eat something.” the youngest handed his brother a potatoe.
“Thank you. Here, you eat some too.” he broke off a half of the potatoe.
” Hm. Okay.”
” OH NO! THIS IS BAD! THIS IS VERY VERY BAD!” cried a running family.” The wall already met the mountain!”
” The mountain?” asked the youngest brother.
” Wait here, I’ll go see what’s going on.” said the eldest.
” Okay. But be careful.”
” Don’t worry, I’ll come back as fast as I can.”
Then the eldest brother left.
Just as he did, three bandits came up the hill and barged into the little hut. The youngest was terrified.
” Take him away!” demanded the leader. Then, darkness closed up upon the youngest brother and he dropped the potatoe.
The eldest brother rushed back into the hut.
” Brother! Brother! Hurry an pack our things!” he stared at the potatoe and said. ” I’m not joking brother! Hurry and come out. there are bandits that murder and eat us!” Then he stared at the potatoe again and ran into a old man.
“Please stop! I beg of you! I have another family to take care of!”
” Don’t worry , I’m not a bandit! I just wanted to ask you if you saw a young person come out of the hut?”
” Yes, and I saw a group of bandits carry him away!”
” Damn bandits! They dare to capture my brother!” then the eldest ran off leaving the old man behind saying,” Oh my mother.”
‘ I promised our parents to take care of my brother!’ the eldest thought as he ran through the dry hills. ‘ What can I say to my parents?! How can I live?! Brother was captured, and I’ll have to pay that off with my own life! I have to save him!’
He finally found his brother near a boiling tub of water. He was tied to a tree with a bandit next to him.
” Brother, why did you come here? It is exactly like giving yourself away.”
” I only have you as a family member, how can I see you die without saving you?!”
Then he knelt infront of the other bandits,” My brother is a sick person, he is skinny and frail, his meat certainly will not taste good, please let him go!”
” What are you saying?! Let him go?! Then what will we eat?!”
” If you just release him, I would let you eat me! I’m healthy and I am not sick, and I’m fatter than my brother! If you eat me, I’ll be tastier than him!”
” No! Stop it! You can’t do this brother!”
” Why?!” demanded the leader.
” I’m the one that you caught, so I’m the one you’re going to eat! That is fair! My brother has nothing to do with it, why should he be in the place of me?!”
Then they both srated to cry.
” Fine, fine. Stop crying,”
” What? Did you make up your mind to eat me?”
” No! You can’t!”
” Please eat me!”
” No! Stop it!”
The bandits looked from brother to brother.
” You guys calm down and listen to me.” said the leader.” It’s fine, we are not going to eat any of you”
” No, you can’t! Just eat me! Just release my brother!” cried the eldest.
” Release him.” said the leader.
Then the youngest brother was free from the ropes.
” You brothers both fight for death. You people can all go.”
” Thank you! Thank you very much!”
” Don’t. Just go already”
The brothers went back to their hut.
In the court of the king, the king said,”What?! There are brothers like those?! Let them come into court! We wish that the people would learn from them.”
