According to the legend,in Jingyang County during the Jin yang Dynasty, there is a magistrate capable of Taoist wizardy. He is calle Xu Xun. He can use tailsmans to work wonders. Locals regard him as magic man.
At one time, due to a bad yeild of crops, local people cannot afford to pay taxes, all trying to find a way out.
“ Oh, what can we do? We don’t have enough even to feed ourselves.”
“ Yes, the yield of this year was so bad. How can we have enough money to pay taxes?”
Then Xu Xun happened to pass by. Seeing them all worried , he says:
“ Don’t worry. I know you’ve had bad crops this year. And you all have difficulties. I’ve got an idea. Please bring mesome stones here and let me help you tide over the difficulties.”
As all the local peasent’s trust him, they brought in a number of stones.
Then Xu Xun begins to resort his wizardry.
As soon as he touches his finger to a stone, it begins to glitter. The llight becomes increasingly dazzling. All the stones have thus turned into gold.
With the gold, all locals are able to pay up their taxes.
