Li Bai was a great poet in China’s Tang Dynasty. His poetry is passionate and freewheeling, full of queer imaginations. One day, he is chatting while drinking with a friend.

His friend said, “ Everybody says you are an incamation of the God of Wine. Our meeting today proves its not false.” “ I only drink a bit more when I’m happy. How can I be the God of Wine?” “ Eh, I heard there is an old deity in the adjacent mountians. He can mount the clouds and ride the mist. He is really miraculous!” “ Really? If so I must find him and ask him to take me to the zenith of Heaven.”

The following morning, Li Bai headed to the mountians to look for the deity. He traveled till noon but still cannot find him. He said, “ Oh I’m so tired. I have to rest.” Li Bai sat down on a huge rock. A lucid stream flows quietly in front of him carrying beautiful cherry blossoms floating around freely. “ Although I didn’tfind the deity, the beautiful scenery has already put me outside the world. Perhaps the deity lives right here.”

Drawing inspiration from the beautiful scenery, Li Bai writes the following famous poem:
As the peach blossoms flow downstream and is gone into the unknown, I have a world apart that is among men.
